The exam Nights

There is a blogger who blogs on exam nights, and this is probably the last time he has got the chance to do the same. He is frustrated by his ugly grades, non-motivating lectures, purposeless syllabus and lot more. Yes, it is his final end-sem at his college which he calls it as institute.

There are dreams in every engineering student's eye to be a good engineer, days passes, and passes the dream too. The glittery college life (kindly, allow me to use the word college) with like-minded peers around, makes a virtual world full of enjoyment and sensibilities, life changes its meaning from a struggling IIT-aspirant to a person who has explored himself more than engineering books in their past four years. Coming to the engineer part, these fresh graduates from claiming to be elite engineering institutions, are not the people who makes the computers, missiles and satellites etc. . They are the people who realized their potential in the past four years, it may happen though they haven't shown that caliber in their college life. These elevated minds with desire to prove are the people who prove themselves as 'engineer' in future.

Ohh!!! I again went philosophical, ignore that. So, I was talking that it is my last end-sem, which is scheduled tomorrow at 10:30am, and at this hour when I am supposed to be mugging-up the xeroxed pages which contain the 'engineering-gyaan' and I am blogging... Ridiculous! Still, as we say to wash out all our stress- "koi nahi yaar! final year hai..." :)

This exam probably the one, which we always wish to escape, but, bound by the desire to get the degree we have to convince ourselves to appear for it, so, we need to prepare for it... This preparation phase also seems quite boring, coz we don't have Munni, Shila, or Billo to entertain us meanwhile... Facebook seems the only 'quinone' which reduces the boring silence around, not even that, my facebook news feed is also filled by the exam-reminding status messages. And, the stories goes sentimental when someone updates a status message which talks about going sentimental for not having another end-sem like this... Please!

I guess this much space on this blog is enough to do the rituals of blogging a night before exam starts... :)

And, Yes! Its needless to say I'll miss this fun in future, I'll blog definitely, but, not like this- exam-night blogging. And, I'll share all my 'senti' moments on the blog too, but, wait till I get enough senti! ;)

Are the words really heavy???

So, here it comes the most awaited one, don't know whether it is for you or not, but for me it is... Yes, there are many things for me like this- this blog post, the last exam, the last year and many more...
Two days from now, two more exams to go and two more semesters to follow and ... yes these words are really heavy, I can't write them...
Ctrl+A-> Delete
What a moronic start of a blog from a blogger like me... :P
Anyways (thanks to the creator of this word, you can switch from chapter1 of SGPD to directly Chapter7 of DSP using this word, no offences...), we all are writing our very 'lovely' end-sem papers and 'doing' well in it. But, for me this semester the things are more worse than they could be, not because I have not prepared well but maybe because I have not written a blog a night before the paper started. That too is not my fault, this time there was not any Sheila or Munni to create the 'interest'. So, I thought of doing it now because it is never late to do a 'right' thing.
Goes Control System, so do SGPD and Power Electronics (even the question setter would have said to himself, "tike hard heigela...") and left with Open elective and DSP. Talking about open electives, as I have never said, I'll say only one thing about it is that even if we are given an 'elective' to appear for an 'open' book test then also we don't even know from where to copy. Even the teachers (sorry professors, I didn't mean to underestimate them) are not sure what to do with these courses, sometime they too end up with saying "I don't feel this elective is not appropriate for Electrical and Computer Science fellows.". I think again criticising these open electives and their preachers may invite bad wishes for my exams tomorrow.
Lastly this 'post in disguise' to satisfy my superstitious notion that "a post before exams starts, keeps your exam'y stars on right track... :P" may prove fruitful.
And bear one more line which I just realized about my or you can say everyone's life:-
"shit never happens it is always there, we just misfortunately step on that... :("
wish me luck,
ashish

I am a blogger

I am a blogger who blogs the night before exams.
Yes! It was the Sheila who made me to blog last on this portal few months ago because of her jawani and her jawan fans. Now, it is the rain and boring syllabus which are impelling me to do 'this'.
So, here I am, books scattered all around, everything scattered so do the preparations, still I am playing with my idiot-box and pressing the keys on the keyboard whether all of them are working properly or not. Thanks! almost all of them are OK!.
By now you may have concluded this blog is nothing but the words of a 'frustrated of studying' student. But, it is not the same as you concluded just now because this novice has just started studying because of this sick weather and hence his sick health.
Before I say anything about the topics lets see the subjects which we are being taught to a 'compelled to be manufactured as an Electrical Engineer'. Continuing the legacy of last semester I would introduce the topics which we are studying this semester(another reason why I am introducing so late is that I just got to know the names of all the topics of this semester.)-
1. Switchgear and Protective Devices- I have never seen a switchgear in my life, even if I have seen one, I can not recognize it(this thing I am saying when I have already made a class notes of over 77 pages and attended almost all of its lectures.). I think I need not to say anything. But only thing which I like in this class is the melodious ringtone of cellphone of our melodious(of course self claimed) prof. .
2. Control System- I still don't know whether it is Control System-I or just Control System(means is it the start or the end is closer?). Only thing I know is that in Control System you can control anything but not the call of cozy books and note-books over which you can put your head and sail in the sea of dreams during the lectures.
3. Power Electronics- I only know its name and what is there in this topic you can ask me a night before the exam. Anyways, about the lectures, I would like to mention- 'He' (mind it! I used 'H') is the only prof. who can  take a two hour class in just a span on 20 minutes.
4. Digital Signal Processing- Hmm... the name seems quite appealing, but what for all the permutation and combination of sequences and series(gosh! I remember the terms... :) ) which we do in the class are meant, I don't know. In this lecture you need to bear the last few minutes of lullaby sessions and then you get rid of all of the above.
About the sessionals I would like to say, in B.Tech. 6th semester you need to invest your precious three morning hours just to realize, you are doing engineering studies and attending classes. You never know what you are doing with the black boxes by just turning the knobs and pressing the buttons.
En total, its the time when I am regretting why I am here and what I am doing with myself. Anyways, blogging at these hours of my life may be carcinogenic to my career. So, I think I should start studying now. I am being condemned from all around- my roommate, my friends and of course from my family.
Ohh... Thanks! I had did this!!! Blogging before exams is really helpful for guys like me- who know nothing about the topic but still fight for getting a respectable grade. Blogging ensures you that you can write a single sentence in hundred number of ways and each one of them looking identical. Finally I have practiced so much, that I can fill the pages of my answer sheet writing about nothing. So, I think you can know why "I am a blogger"???

someone please ban Sheila...

These days we all are under the influence of a Chatur who has sent his distractive tricks in form of "Sheila ki Jawani" which has now became the lore of each and every student in my hostel. You need to just cross a corridor and you will observe in almost every third room the same song is playing.
Through this blog I request to ban the song Sheila ki Jawani so that we may study for our end-sems.

I am going to write a paper on Embedded System or Sheila i don't know... i have seen Sheila ki jawaani(of course song) more than seventy six times but the book.... i think it has not been flipped completely till now...

I have seen a very nice transformation coming up with Sheila... The one who used listen only rock and metal have also become the fan of Sheila...
I realised the two greatest invention of Bollywood are :-
1.Sheila and
2. Her Jawani.... :P

This blog is coming up on a time when the writer is supposed to write his B.tech., 3rd year, end semester paper. So, the writer is just sharing some of the twitter and facebook updates of his friends amidst of this heavy exam season:-
  • MUNNI during midsems and now SHEILA during endsems :P
  • I m in doubt whether I m really in a boys' hostels or what....Bcoz everybody is saying "My name is Sheila"... :P
  • during ours exm its always a distraction, either Shiela comes with her jawani or Munni comes with her badnami...
  • who is Sheila??????
Bye.. Bye....
I have to study for exams too.....
Wish me Luck(if i have got any readers)...

Picnic at 'Don't know where'

Hello all!
Just don't abuse me that i am wasting my precious time and divine talent in writing this blog.
So, here I am again, battling with the keys of my keyboard to document a piece of work which can be supposed to be read by some of my respected (if there exist any) readers.

So starting with the title- 'Picnic at 'Don't know where' '...
So it was the end of October- the time when everything seems coming to an end- the year, the semester, the money in our account, etc. . So, it was the time when we realized that the semester is speedily anchoring towards the '5 hell days'(end semester exams), so it was the call of time to organize the picnic to do something worth remembering along with our branch mates.

The plan started, the entropy of the class went high, people started suggesting all possible locations in and around this universe ranging from hell to heaven. At last plans were made, crowd was convinced, money was collected and at last the plans were implemented. People from both the planets landed on the bus and sailed towards Bluestone which was the proposed picnic spot.

The journey was accompanied with a gambling session first, then the very famous sa re ga ma pa musical challenge and ended with Chitrahaar with retro songs.

After reaching the picnic spot which was supposed to be Bluestone but was having milestones saying the place to be Deojhar. Whatever the name of the place was, it was a nice place to enjoy and have fun with friends. People from different planets enjoyed the day, while the Marsians were engaged in enjoying in river the Venusians were enjoying the deserts. This was followed by a cup of coffee (in a glass of water), accompanied with the the game of Dumb-Charades in which the Marsians had a harder luck and had to manage with second position (now u can guess who were the first...).
The day ended with a hunger driven feast in which every alien tried to prove the maximality of their stomach.

Lastly the day ended with group photography sessions in which the author was featured nowhere.
While returning journey, to place the aliens back to their respective planets, the aliens evidenced the some of the idols performing musical concerts on public demand.

In all, the picnic was a great fun, giving the elektri people of this universe some reasons to remember the days spent here even after escaping from this place.

And yes, for all those, who din't witness this fun, we missed them a lot during picnic(only when we get time from enjoying those moments to the fullest but sorry... no such moments existed...)

Below you can watch the beauty of the place:-

out of frustration...

"hey you blogged again!!!"

please don't say like this... and also don't call that i am fed up with studying electrical=my-sins. In fact this blog is outcome of my frustration. Tomorrow is Monday- the day when I'll be writing the paper of my OE(that too of Mr. M. Kumar-"tumko ka lagta hai ham tumko pass kar denge") which will be over by 3:30pm and after that on the Tuesday morning I am going to write for EM-reloaded(and this is the reason I am writing here...).

Electrical Machines- II
This is the core subject which any Electrical Engineering graduate is supposed to be comfortable in it. But, things are not as it is expected, just two days before exam we came to know that the syllabus for the exam is not defined and it is up to where sir has taught. It was OK till there... I being a class-time-GMAT(a bit) thought the notes which I have jotted down during lectures will serve the purpose. So, I was relaxed. Now when I read what I have written and what is the reality I have no path left than to spend my days and night in searching for books from where papita refers.

Was it Nagraj or Nagrath confusion was still there... Lastly got to know that it is Nagrath and Kothari. Thought it is OK I'll read and pass the exam. But the volume of the syllabus when I realized I lost all my hopes of securing a 8.2(i desperately need to cross the line of 8) this semester.

The fact is that few hours before I didn't even knew in an IM(it means induction motor not instant messenger) whether the field rotates or armature. When I tried to realize I realized something rotates but being stationary. How can it be possible? Let it be rotating...(God(sorry KBM) knows how) The height of frustration is increasing as the clock is ticking ahead.

Every time I see a new sms in my cell phone I pray it to be from our Siyar(CR) reading as:-

"Hello everyone!! I talked to K B Mohanty sir just now. He has agreed to postpone the test which was supposed to be held on Tuesday to some other day in next week. Anyways... Best of Luck for CSP and TDEP."

But nothing like this happened... :(
The messages are the same... saying- "save the life of a cancer patient...", "Santa says to Banta...", "aliens entring earth tonight, switch off your phns..." Nothing worth cheering...

What is our fault??? I don't even know the basic principles of rotation of rotating machines and I have to study every details of rotation and control of these machines. How can one read, understand and score in a subject like Electrical machines in just a few hours of study, the topic which took centuries to develop... Tell me how???

At last... (from my buzz)

IHTFP
sach me yaar... motor ghumta hai to ghumne do... us me meri kya galti hai... hame kyu tension dete ho...??? agar hame pata hi chal gaya motor kyu aur kaise ghumta hai... to us se kya duniya palat jaayegi...???

Anyways...
Best of luck readers(if there are any... :( )
Hope the calender displays October soon...

i am here... again...

Hope this being the second blog on our much-awaited blog... :P
After an argumentative arrival of this blog on this blogosphere here is one more post which is asking its reasons for being here...

So, It is the pre-final year being an Electrical Engineering undergraduate student. It was expected that we would be knowing everything about the topics already taught in previous semesters. The topics this semester are designed accordingly. The theory topics being:-

Electrical machines reloaded
EmBEDde(a)d System
TRANS-mission and DIS-tribute(son) of ELECTRICAL PA(war)
COM(A)munication system PRINCiPALS

So talking about 'EM Reloaded' the name seems like a block-BUSTER series. But its not more than a sleeping session. Just sketching(i hardly care what the words are just 'sketch' them in my notebook) down(if u wish) the things being vomited by teacher(sorry prof.) on board.

ES is just another DS, everything same... this time too it is being taught by an HOD. The only difference being, this course is of our depart-me(a)nt. Just like a geometry class we draw rectangular blocks, sometimes lines and rays but without any insight. Hardly 3 weeks gone and I have copied and submitted two assignments of this subject.

TDEP name seems like a IM slang... but don't worry its not that. The only topic which was going well... But life is boring without twists... Here enters a LUNGIMAN(LM-this time a 'serious slang' :P) in the story. We are just brought to a ragging environment when just a few year senior teaches a topic which is considered to be most important electrical sciences. Writing and describing the qualities of LM will unnecessarily consume bytes of my web space.

"just... wade(wait) a minute"
It is 4:15pm now, exhausted by lab sessions, baked by OE classes and ruined by three 'terrible' theory classes.
And still we have to wait for an hour to complete that 'minute'. Ya, it is time for CSP, no comments about the teacher else two of my classmates will come to my room and 'they'll kill' me, reason I think is understood. A class-full of doubts, and baseless allegations, we are left with only one question- "why i am here?"

Talking about the sessionals... they are AWA(H)-sum...
Electrical machines returns
Communication System Principal
Micro-pro(f)-cessor lab
El-ek-tric(k)-al(l) ma-sin d(R)E-SIGN

I think the EM returns doesn't need need any further introduction. The truth of this sessional has already been shown in the documentary by our friends in 'MUHA-MUHI-d naked truth'.

CSP and uP lab- I find many reasons to attend these sessionals. We need not to think why are the things happening it just goes as "hota hai yaar!! tension mat le..."

Here come the real sessional in picture Electrical- my-sin's Design. Every time we realize joining this Electrical is the outcome of all our sins of previous birth.

Anyways, this is in fact a fake picture of our class...
The real picture comes when our most unexpected friend cracks for internship leaving behind all 9 pointers and giving us a ray of hope(specially me for me :) ).
The real picture comes when we mass bunk the class in front of the teacher. And lot more fun accompanied in every boring class, because we are innovators and we can always design ways to get out of boredom and and enjoy our classes to the fullest...
